IPS Skelmersdale Celebrates 9 Years RIDDOR-Free Milestone

IPS, part of Culina Group, is proud to celebrate a significant achievement at its Skelmersdale site, which has reached nine consecutive years without a RIDDOR-reportable incident.

This milestone reflects the team’s unwavering commitment to health and safety, underpinned by a consistent focus on doing the right thing, every day. It demonstrates a culture where safety is fully embedded in operations – not as a target, but as a core value.

This success has been driven by clear standards, strong leadership, and the behaviours demonstrated daily by colleagues on site, alongside a long-standing partnership with Mondelez, built on shared expectations, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Recognising this achievement, Mondelez commended the Skelmersdale team, stating:

“Congratulations on achieving 9 years RIDDOR free. It is a noteworthy achievement which the team rightly should be proud about.”

To mark the occasion, Mondelez presented the site with a commemorative certificate, with colleagues coming together to celebrate this shared success.

As highlighted by IPS leadership Phil Walker, Technical Director and Simon Wooffindin, Head of Health, Safety & Environment:

“Nine years without a RIDDOR is no accident. It reflects a robust Safety-First strategy, strong systems, and teams who live safe behaviours every day. A combination of effective safety systems and positive leadership has underpinned a culture of safety excellence, built through deliberate focus and accountability at every level. From day-to-day operations to major transformation projects, safety is embedded in everything we do. A phenomenal achievement by an outstanding team.”

More than a statistic, this milestone represents a deeply embedded culture – one defined by accountability, consistency, and a shared commitment to keeping people safe.

IPS would like to thank every member of the Skelmersdale team for their continued dedication to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
