A team of cyclists from Culina Group including Mike Roberts, Tony Kay, Paul Giddings, Carl Tolley, Daniel Muller, Paul Jacobs, Wojceich Jastrzebski and Paul Barnes recently took part in a charity cycle ride in support of MacMillan Cancer Support. The event started at Hoddesdon on Sunday 4th September where the team received a very warm welcome and a fine send off from the staff. The cyclists set off from Hoddesdon at midday arriving at Haverhill later in the day.
On Thursday 15th September 2016, the team from Culina Group and General Mills proudly accepted the SHD Logistics Award for New Facility, presented by leading comedian Mark Watson in front of 600 industry professionals.
The event, which took place at Resorts World Birmingham, celebrated excellence in the logistics industry across eleven main categories. Culina Group won the new facility award for their visionary collaboration with General Mills at Port Salford, the UK’s first Tri-modal logistics facility. The Port Salford depot went live earlier in 2016.

Culina Group, the market-leading provider of shared-user FMCG logistics services, has announced an agreement to take over Great Bear Distribution Limited as from Tuesday 1st March 2016. The terms of the agreement, including consideration, have not been disclosed.
Culina will have its entire fleet of nearly 400 vehicles at Euro 6 standard by March 2016. Furthermore 10% of the Culina fleet will also be LNG fuelled. The current Culina fleet is a mix of the best vehicles on offer from leading marks.
“To absolutely minimise our on-going impact on the environment, Culina are looking at fuel economy, vehicle efficiency, and vehicle utilisation from many angles”, said Group Fleet Manager – Mark Matkin.
Culina Group has been presented with the Freight Transport Association Tachofta Compliance Award in recognition of its high standards of driver compliance and management of infringements.
